The U19 Women’s World Championships will be held this week from 8th to 12th, May, in Lahti. The week will culminate in the U19 and 3v3 World Championship finals on Mother’s Day, as well as a grand draw where a total of 6000 floorball balls will be dropped from the Lahti ski jumping tower.
The Finnish Floorball Federation, together with the Muuttohaukat, is organizing an unprecedented draw, as on Sunday, May 12th at 3 p.m., a total of 6000 floorball balls will be dropped from the Lahti ski jumping tower. The draw will be conducted by the ski jumper Janne Ahonen himself. Prizes include product prizes, accommodation packages, and a trip to the men’s World Championships next December 2024. The main prizes are an electric scooter and a floorball rink.
The price of a ticket is 10€ each, and the proceeds will go towards developing Finnish floorball. Tickets can be purchased from the fan merchandise stand at the World Championships or from the Lahti Sports and Fair Centre.
